Hugh Ramsay Exhibition at the NGA

I was in Canberra this weekend past to watch the Brumbies (lose by a point to a last minute Highlanders try) and took the opportunity to check out the Hugh Ramsay exhibition at the National Gallery.

It turned out to be much larger than I had anticipated and I ended up spending around two hours at the gallery. For someone who died at just 28, Ramsay was enormously prolific and turned out some wonderful paintings, in a variety of styles.

I managed to line up my visit with the free, guided tour (running on Weekends at 11:00) which added a lot of extra information to the experience.

The exhibition runs until March 29, 2020, so if you're in Canberra it's well worth getting out to see it, especially if your visit lines up with one of the tours.
